It is not too much of a surprise to hear a beat producer turn into music artiste because it is believed that, music is about talent and being versatile.
Renowned Ghanaian music producer, Joseph Bulley known by his art name as Magnom whose production is usually a fusion of genres gained attention after winning the hearts of Ghanaians with his hit production ”illuminati” with Ghanaian BET award winner, Sarkodie.
Magnom who started as a rapper in a group called ‘Dream Team’ consisting of himself and Asem later abandoned rap to concentrate on beat production. The beat maker has over the years worked with many artistes both within and outside the country. The likes of 2face Idibia of Nigeria and Jamaican top-notched act Popcan with many hit songs to his credit with regards to his production work.
Bouncing back with a surprise, Magnom entered the music scene in the year 2014 with a single which was supposed to feature Theophilus Tagoe better known as Castro before the latter’s sudden disappearance. Though a very nice tune, ‘KPA’ didn’t make much noise due to low promotion.
In a chat with Flex newspaper, the talented music producer stated that, music is about being versatile and hardworking and he believes he has got those qualities. After releasing his first single ‘KPA’, the beat maker continued to release more singles including his current hit single which featured Joey B and is currently making all the waves there is to make both on TV and on Radio.
The ‘MY BABY’ hit maker continued to say that, he is currently focusing on his music career as an artiste than a producer even though he still works as music producer. He again urged music producers not to limit themselves to only the production bit of the work but showcase their singing prowess if they have what it takes to do so.
The ‘My Baby’ hits maker has also released his first mixtape named ‘We Speed’ and he looking forward to come out with his latest album soon. Magnom is out with a classic mixtape called ‘WE SPEED’ and is coming out soon with an album, follow him on Facebook for more updates on his projects.
